This is a safety reminder for everyone.  With the shorter days, many people are walking in the neighborhood after dark. We now have fog in the morning, this decreases our visibility. We have many beautiful sunrises and sunsets; this can pose additional issues with visibility. The glare from the sun can make a person or vehicle almost invisible, the result is a blinding effect.

Please remember most of the streets in the neighborhood have a speed limit of 25 MPH. Electric and hybrid vehicles are almost silent,  it is easy to have one on these vehicles approach you,  and you never hear it. Headphones can block out sounds, be aware of your surroundings at all times.

There are many delivery and service vehicles in our neighborhood on any given day, if you are on or near the street use caution.

Drivers in Maryland have a 1 in 107 chance of colliding with an animal.
