Yesterday, the HCPSS Attendance Area Committee (the “AAC”) presented an alternative redistricting recommendation to the Interim Superintendent to incorporate changes relating to the proposed acceleration for opening a new high school. Under the AAC’s alternative recommendation, none of the Community’s polygons would be redistricted for high school or middle school; however, for elementary schools, the northeast Mount Hebron polygons (Polygons 161 and 1161, which include streets such as Mt. Hebron Drive, Furrow, Tiller, Eliza Dorsey and Parsley) would be moved from SJLES to Waverly and the Orchards (Polygon 262, which includes streets such as Melba and Stayman) would be moved from Hollifield to SJLES.

Please note that these changes are part of an alternative plan and not a final decision.
